Supporting Free and Fair Internet AND a Clean Environment

Several people have had questions about an IE (Internet Explorer) issue effecting how text is displayed.

Earthensource.com was designed and tested using 3 main browsers; Firefox, Chrome and Safari. Firefox is designed, built and supported by Mozilla, who, according to their mission statement, are- “A non profit whose mission is to ensure the Internet is a global public resource, open and accessible to all. An Internet that truly puts people first, where individuals can shape their own experience and are empowered, safe and independent. open source best browser when it comes to open source, freedom of choice, privacy protection and fighting for a free and fair internet.”

Chrome, whose parent company Google, has done quite a bit to promote open source software and is also an industry leader in both promoting and using renewable energy.

Last but certainly not least, is Safari, built by Apple who is clearly a leader in protecting both privacy and the environment. Apple is one of the leading companies in the use of clean energy powering their entire company using 100% renewable power.

Internet Explorer is made by Microsoft, a company that has been largely apathetic and at times, downright hostile toward anything open source and whose sole motivator seems to be driven by profit and therefore is not a supported browser.
