SpaceX Will Rocket You Anywhere on Earth in Under an Hour

SpaceX and Elon Musk have a bold plan to use the BFR rocket to take passengers from New York to Paris in 30 minutes , London to New York in 29 minutes, Los Angeles to Toronto in 24 minutes, London to Dubai in 29 minutes, Hong Kong to Singapore in 22 minutes. Basically, most long distance trips in 30 minutes.

The BFR rocket was announced by Elon Musk in Sept. of 2017, It includes reusable launch vehicles and spacecraft that are intended by SpaceX to replace all of the company’s current hardware by the early 2020s, ground infrastructure for rapid launch and relaunch, and zero-gravity propellant transfer technology to be deployed in low Earth orbit. The new vehicles are much larger than the existing SpaceX fleet, and the large payload to low-Earth orbit (LEO) of 150,000 kg (330,000 lb) making it a super heavy-lift launch vehicle.

The BFR system is planned to replace both Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy launch vehicles, as well as the Dragon spacecraft, initially aiming at the Earth-orbit launch market, but explicitly adding substantial capability to support long-duration spaceflight in the cislunar and Mars mission environments.[1] SpaceX intends this approach to bring significant cost savings which will help the company justify the development expense of designing and building the BFR system.
